Barry Logan’s day starts out shitty and continues to go down the crapper. His car breaks down in the Middle of Nowhere, Colorado. The only mechanic for miles is out of town, forcing Barry to hole up and await his return. Bored and hungry, Barry goes to the town’s only bar in search of food and entertainment. The former is almost inedible, but his interest in the latter is piqued when two specimens of cowboy perfection walk in.
Barry has always had a thing for cowboys, and he’s been on a mission to get up close and personal with as many as possible before flying home to England. Having two cowboys at the same time would be a new experience, and one Barry is eager to try. So when the two men leave the bar, Barry follows in hot pursuit. He overhears them arguing about whose turn it is to bottom that night. Without thinking, Barry offers his services.
Jimmy Pierce and Jake Wilson drive Barry back to the Double J ranch for a night of wild passion he won’t forget. The next morning, Barry wakes in an empty bed to a beeping smoke alarm. It seems the ranch cook quit the night before, leaving Jimmy, Jake, and their three ranch hands to fend for themselves.
Barry immediately takes charge. His cooking meets with everyone’s approval, and he agrees to stay on both in the kitchen and in Jimmy’s and Jake’s bed. The two cowboys are physically demonstrative, both with each other as well as with Barry, who finds himself falling fast for both of them. It’s like a dream come true -- Barry has two men and a job he loves.
But petty jealousies, rivalries, and miscommunications threaten to shatter the dream, and when Barry’s scheming ex shows up, things get even worse. Sandwiched between two cowboy lovers, has Barry bitten off more than he can chew?

Barry had a real bad day with his car breaking down, the tow truck driver being an ugly mess and the mechanic is away for a family funeral. Then he goes to Rick's to eat and has to leave the soggy mess because it is inedible. The only thing at Rick's worth eating up are Red (Jake) and Blue (Jimmy), two cowboys that are obviously together - but are they gay? Barry follows them outside and offers his, er, services to the two tops (who have been arguing like little kids over who has to give it up). They take Barry up on his offer, whisking him off to their ranch (Barry does wonder if they are going to murder him and was he wise to come along for the "ride"). What happens next is that Barry, Jake and Jimmy have an unparalleled night together which is abruptly ended in the morning by a shrieking smoke alarm and a kitchen full of cowboys who have no clue how to make breakfast.Barry becomes the cook for the cowboys and lover of Red and Blue - he is British and his fantasies have revolved around cowboys since he was little. Jake and Jimmy are funny, they argue over who is bigger, who is better, who goes first, how many kisses each give Barry, who is the better rider...it is like they are in kindergarten.
The book has huge amounts of humour - I like the British/American confusion and Barry trying to explain it all. The cowboys on the ranch are gay so the threesome have no issues at home. Jimmy's father is a homophobe and some in town that are good Christians cause some trouble. In the main though it is plain sailing - and that is a little part of the problem. Where is the angst? The trio come together seamlessly (pardon my pun) and since Jake and Jimmy have been together forever (since they were kids), how is there no real drama adding a third?
This is very readable with a lot of funny and a lot of loving. I will be looking for more of Drew Hunt who is a new author for me.

Cowboy Sandwich edition by Drew Hunt Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
The title was intriguing, so I decided to take a chance on reading "Cowboy Sandwich." At first, I wasn't sure that I wanted to continue, but I quickly changed my mind. This is one great story - of men finding true love, but also one dealing with the trials of everyday life...pain, sorrow, disappointment, but finding love in so many ways. In addition, I enjoyed learning some new culinary ideas; that was a treat! Now I'm hoping that there is a sequel to the story,; there's so much more to be said. I definitely look forward to reading more books by Drew Hunt!
I really enjoyed this book. The sex was outstanding and the story was interesting. I loved the characters!!
Enjoyed the story and the characters-However, I thought that the main character was a little of the femine side and that put me somewhat but did not keep me from enjoying the story-I am a little mistified whay the ex was brought into the story. He shows up for 2 or 3 pages and never heard from again. He has no real part of the story.
I liked this series - the characters are sweet and very loving to one another. There's a lot of hot sex, too. It would have been nice to have the mother move out on the rotten dad, but maybe there's a third book planned.
I could not stop reading. I love how the characters embrace each other. It was so heart felt, that anything is possible. This book is so well written. That at some point I thought it was about two people. When it was about three. The author did a great job. I could read this book again. ...
Yes I gave 5 stars but the price of the book the book is not worth that amount. The characters are flat no life and nothing pops out at you to make you ever think they are real and if you met you would like them or are you just sitting and looking at some drawing of the characters. Another problem with book to many unanswered questions at the end the reader is left hanging.
The book could have been written better and the characters needs a lots of work to make you think they are real and alive not just fictional.
I first read this over a year ago, when I first started reading M/M. I didn't realize then that it was written by a male author. It makes sense as the story did seem to offer a very genuine, if occasionally crude, outlook on the actions of the men in the story. Jake and Jimmy reminded me a little of my older brothers who also sniped, argued and insulted each other even in their late twenties. The sex scenes were definitely not flowery or very sensual. They were pretty direct and unembellished. The dialogue was often corny, sometimes a little clunky. But it was mostly a fun read. Barry's bond with Jimmy's mother was sweet. So, in spite of a lack of polish, it was a nice story about love, friendships and finding a home in an unexpected place.
