Molly has had feelings for her childhood best friend, Liam Delaney, for the longest time. And now that he and his girlfriend are on the rocks, Molly thought it would be her chance to finally make her feelings known. What better way to make herself the kind of girl her guy wants than to ask him himself? To make sure Liam doesn’t find out her true intentions, she tells him she’s interested in someone she refers to as Mr. X. When Molly starts to show a whole new side of herself, Liam can’t help but be protective of her. This isn’t exactly the kind of reaction Molly wanted. Will she succeed in getting her childhood love to look at her the way she always wanted?

The Seduction Project Harlequin comics eBook Miranda Lee Sara Nakayama

This is one of Miranda Lee's better books. It avoids the usual Harlequin pitfalls of under-educated, but gorgeous girl nabs incredibly rich man who she'd met the month before.

The book features a pair who grew up as neighbors. They genuinely like one another, but the shy quiet girl who would one day become a librarian has a seceret-she in love with her very good looking go-getter friend next door.

Normally, I don't like books when the pair have a quick courtship. That was o.k. and even successful here since the writer establish the pairs pre-existing affection.

Sounds boring, but it is not. This is one hot book. I rarely find myself rooting for a Harlequin heroine, but I rooted for this one. Molly is "every girl" who, against all odds, bags her man.

I found Molly, and the book, unusually charming and memorable. Liam, the hero, was slow on the uptake, but very hot and unforgettable.

The Seduction Project Harlequin comics eBook Miranda Lee Sara Nakayama Reviews

Molly had always loved Liam but he had never seen her as anything but a friend. Now Molly was changing everything about herself and suddenly Liam noticed that Molly was everything he wanted in a woman. This was a great story! I enjoyed this book so much that I didn't put it down until it was finished~~
The story starts out with Molly, a plain Jane who has had a crush on her neighbor's son, Liam, forever it seems. Although Liam and her are friends of sort, Molly has never made it known to Liam that her feelings for him are more than friendly. As she gets one year older, Molly feels that a makeover is in order. She goes and changes her appearance according to Liam's suggestions. Liam being the friendly guy that he is doesn't realize that Molly is changing for him.
To a benefit to which Liam must attend, he asks Molly to be his date for the evening. She agrees and tops herself in the ultimate bombshell dress with her killer body that has Liam salivating from the moment he sees her. She offers him an offer that he can't resist.."sleep with me tonight or I'll find some guy who will."
I think the rest you'll have to read to find out. I don't know what grabbed me in this story but it did. And I couldn't put the book down until I finished it, which was around 5 in the morning! Good read!
Description from the book back cover

Goodbye, Miss Nice-person-next-door! When Molly McCrae transformed herself into a striking redhead, the entire male population of Sydney stood up and took notice! But her make-over was for Liam Delaney only. Sure, he showed an interest in the new-look Molly, but not in the way she wanted. He was over-protective - even a little jealous - but it seemed that a relationship with her couldn't be further from his mind. It was time for an ultimatum. If Liam didn't want Molly to lose her virginity to another admirer, then he would have to make love to her himself!
This was a delightful book, with a funny and sometimes hilarious lead character, Molly, deciding to fight her insecurities and go after her man, a long-time next-door neighbor Liam who saw her as his mousy best 'pal'. There are many wonderful moments in this book, and it is surprisingly fast-moving and I read it quickly, not wanting to put it down. Liam is *NOT* an alpha male, ladies...so those of you who are tired of reading about the alphas, take note!

I really loved each character. There was no mean one, except for a seldom-mentioned bottle blonde, and the way Molly finds out her suspicions about her are true is a real hoot! Oh, and the passion between Molly & Liam is pretty intense, also.

This is a 'feel-good' romance, very light, sweet and without malice or down moments. I am so glad I read the previous reviews, and bought this book. I am sure I'll read it again one day.
Lee mooned over Liam since childhood. She had never dated much less looked at other man. I wanted to slap Lee. At 25 years old, when the book started she had done nothing except work as a librarian and pay the bills and be there for Liam when he needed her. She had no friends and lived with her mother. She obsessed over Liam. She was a pathetic doormat and by the end of the story I disliked her more than him. She retained her v-status for Liam. By contrast Liam did not wait for Lee. Liam smexed any woman who was stacked and considered beautiful. A brain was not necessary nor needed by Liam. Not only did he not care about Lee he knew nothing about her life. He had no clue when her birthday was even though she always gave him a gift for his. He was extremely self centered and her purpose was to be there for him including he selfishly used her as a sounding board.

SPOILERS below

Liam's girlfriend insisted that they take a 1 month break from each other in which they would refrain from sexual activity with each other and OP. The reason that she did this is because he was putting his work first and she wanted to realize that she was important in his life as well. Liam was sexually frustrated because of this. After Lee's makeover, Liam finally decided that he was attracted to her and 1 day before he was suppose to getting back to together with his girlfriend, he smexed Lee. Liam had ever intention of returning to his girlfriend even after smexing Lee and it was only because his girlfriend revealed what a wench she was that that he refused to be with her again. I believe if the girlfriend had not revealed her true colors that Liam would have gotten back together with her and smexed her, leaving Lee to pine the rest of her life.

When Liam found out that Lee might love him, he was applauded. It was apparent that he did not want her to love him and he certainly did not love her. I did not believe the HEA, even with the epilogue. One day Liam will lose interest in Lee when she does not gain back her figure from having babies or gushes over him too much and he will leave her for someone who looked like all of his prior girlfriends.
